1 MILLION PILLOWCASE CHALLENGE!!
Calling all quilters, sewers and crafters! We are hosting the 1 Million Pillowcase Challenge by American Patchwork & Quilting.
Make a Pillowcase- Make a Difference!!!!
We will be contributing our first pillowcases to Regency Place of Lafayette in memory of Connie Culverhouse our dear quilting friend who recently passed away. We also want to celebrate the continued life of Kim Sturgeon, a current resident of Regency. Kim is the daughter of our customer & quilting friend Bea Sturgeon.
A pillowcase can provide comfort for a cancer patient, hope for a foster child, encouragement for a battered woman, or beauty for a nursing home resident. Quilter’s Harvest is proud to participate in this challenge for 2010.
Quilter’s Harvest will be hosting Pillowcase Sew-In’s throughout 2010!! - Starts February!!
When: 2nd Tues Every month - 10:00 am - 5:00pm Coffee Pot will be on at 10:00 am. Bring your sack lunch, stay all day or just a few hours!
2nd Thurs. Every Evening every month.: 5:00 pm-9:00pm Bring your own sewing machine, all tools & supplies and fabrics to make pillowcases. We will give you the pattern to use! Our pattern requires the following fabric: ¾ yd main pillowcase, 10” for the cuff and 2” for the trim.
If you come to our scheduled Sew-In’s- we will be donate your pillowcases to the charities that we will be sponsoring. Plus: With each pillowcase you make we will update the pillowcase counter for you! Plus: Making a pillow case at our scheduled sew-in times will be entitle you to our Jammie Sale! Wear your jammies( sweatpants work!)and receive 10% off all your purchases during our scheduled sew-in’s.
Want to schedule a special group session! Call our shop and we will be happy to schedule a time for your group to use our classrooms. We will even teach “Pillowcase Sewing 101” to your group. You must have a sewing machine, tools & supplies. Just contact us at 765-474-2057 or e-mail us at karen@quiltersharvestshop.com and we will help you arrange your own special group session. Plus you will be donating your pillowcases to your own charity that you choose! BE A PART OF THIS CHALLENGE BY HELPING OTHERS
